In short: most of what you do in FlexRep stays on your phone. We do not show ads, sell your data or use tracking tools. We only keep what sign-in, challenges with friends and your subscription need.
1. Who we are
FlexRep is made by Thota Rishik Sai Santhosh, an individual based in India, who decides how your data is used. Contact: flexrep@jyosanlabs.com.
2. What stays on your phone
Your plan and the answers behind it (goal, split, days, level, equipment, anything sore), your workouts, sets, weights, reps and notes, your records and streak, your reminder times and your display settings. None of this is sent to us. It is not backed up either: deleting the app deletes it.
Training-day reminders are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.
3. What we keep, and why
- Your account, only if you sign in for challenges: your email address, display name and handle. We use them to sign you in and to show your name to the people in your challenges.
- Challenges: the challenges you create or join, your votes and any reports you make. While you play a challenge, each workout sends a short summary: when it started and ended, its active minutes, its number of sets, and whether it was entered by hand. The exercises, weights, reps and notes never leave your phone. The people in that challenge see your scores.
- Apple Health or Health Connect, only if you turn it on: FlexRep reads when your other workouts (runs, classes) started and how many minutes they lasted, so they count in your challenges. Only those two figures are shared with your challenge. Health data is never used for advertising and never sold.
- Payments: our reseller Paddle takes your payment and handles tax as the Merchant of Record. We never see your card number. We receive your email address, country, what you bought and whether your subscription is active, so we can give you access and help you. RevenueCat keeps track of whether your subscription is active, linked to an anonymous ID.
- Emails you send us, to answer them. If you join the waitlist, we keep your address to send you one email when FlexRep launches.
We use this data because it is needed to provide what you asked for (signing in, challenges, your subscription), or with your consent (Apple Health and Health Connect, which you can turn off at any time).
4. Who else handles it
Only companies that run parts of FlexRep for us, under contract: Supabase (database and sign-in), Paddle (payments and tax), RevenueCat (subscription status), our email provider (sign-in emails), and Apple and Google (app stores). We share data when the law requires it. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
5. Where it is kept
These companies may store data outside your country. They protect it with the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contract clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Your account and challenge data are kept until you delete your account, then removed. Paddle keeps records of payments for as long as tax law requires.
7. Your rights
- Delete your account in the app (the You tab, then Delete account). Your profile, challenges you host, your memberships, scores and votes are removed straight away.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, by emailing us. We reply within 30 days.
- In the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
- In California and other US states: we do not sell or share personal information, and you will not be treated differently for using your rights.
- In India, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can raise a grievance with us at the email above.
8. Children
FlexRep is not for anyone under 16. If we learn that someone under 16 has an account, we delete it.
9. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and the database only lets each person reach their own data and their challenges. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us straight away if you notice a problem.
10. This website
This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set cookies it needs to take a payment safely.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
